Key Responsibilities

The program director’s job at the Uganda Development Trust (UDET) comes with quite some responsibilities. Below are the responsibilities of the job position at Uganda Development Trust (UDET):

  1. Plans, develops, implements, and directs the organization’s overall business
  2. Undertakes periodic field visits and assessments to determine portfolio quality
  3. Ensures effective and timely reporting by submitting monthly and quarterly reports to donors and Board.
  4. Oversees grantee audits to ensure full accountability of all financial resources
  5. Oversees grantee training
  6. Coordinates in-country visits by donor headquarters staff and other visitors and maintain contact with other organizations working with grassroots organizations
  7. Communicates effectively and e credibility throughout the organization and with the Board of Directors
  8. Mentors, appraises and supports members of staff at all levels to foster growth and encourage development of all members of staff

Uganda Development Trust (UDET) 2024 Recruitment Requirements

To be recruited in the Uganda Development Trust (UDET) candidates must ensure to adhere to the below requirements:

  1. Candidate must possess Master’s degree in business, finance, agriculture. or any other related field from a reputable institution
  2. Candidate must have a minimum of 5 years experience in an executive or leadership position within a corporate setting, preferably a development organization. This experience should demonstrate a track record of successful strategic leadership and decision-making
  3. Candidate must have a solid experience in fundraising and managing large as well as complex programs
  4. Hands on experience in designing and management of business enterprises
  5. Candidate must excel in good English, writing skills is highly desirable
