The Uganda Bureau of Statistics (UBOS) is an agency of the Ugandan government. The agency which was formed by the Uganda Bureau of Statistics Act, 1998, has maintained its mandate of “coordinating, monitoring and supervising the Uganda’s National Statistical System”.

At the time of this publication, the Uganda Bureau Statistics (UBOS) is seeking for competent and suitably qualified candidates to fill a position in its agency.

2024 Uganda Bureau of Statistics (UBOS) Recruitment Responsibilities

Below are the responsibilities regarding the job vacancies at Uganda Bureau of Statistics (UBOS) Recruitment:

  1. Applicant will be accountable for the participation in all training sessions
  2. Applicant will always locate the assigned Establishments in the work allocation
  3. Applicant will always collect information on all the Establishments, in the assigned areas (EAs, MDAs, LGs, etc)
  4. Applicant must ensure that all the Field materials/equipment are properly handled, used, and returned to the supervisor after the enumeration exercise
  5. Applicant must document any challenges and report immediately
  6. Applicant must perform any other functions for the activity which the immediate Supervisor may assign from time to time

Below are the 2024 Uganda Bureau of Statistics Recruitment requirements:

  1. Applicants must possess a minimum qualification of “A” Level certificate
  2. Applicants must have least a credit in English and mathematics at “O” level
  3. Applicants must be aged between 20 and 45 years old
  4. Applicants must be experienced in conducting surveys and censuses
  5. Use of computer or other digital devices for data collection exercise
  6. Applicants must be of good conduct and responsible citizens
  7. Applicants must have a legible and neat handwriting
