Job Description

Below is the basic description of the above job position:

1. As an integral part of our finance department, the successful candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring accurate financial records and supporting the overall financial operations of the company.

Duties and Responsibilities:

1. Assist in the allocation, tracking, and analysis of costs.
2. Collaborate with production teams to ensure accurate cost data.
3. Monitor inventory costs and reconcile any discrepancies.
4. Reconcile accounts receivable and accounts payable.
5. Investigate discrepancies and promptly resolve outstanding issues.
6. Maintain accurate records of all financial transactions.
7. Prepare dispatch reports for shipments and coordinate with logistics and warehouse teams.
8. Ensure timely and accurate reporting of goods dispatched.
9. Provide support in month-end and year-end closing procedures.
10. Process invoices, payments, and expense claims.
11. Maintain organized and up-to-date financial records.
12. Collaborate with the management accountant on various tasks.
13. Provide data for financial analysis and reporting.
14. Participate in budgeting and forecasting processes.

Qualifications and Experience:

1. Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in accounting or finance.
2. Professional Qualification such as ACCA, CIMA will be an added advantage.
3. Familiarity with practices in the food manufacturing industry is a plus.
4. Proficiency in accounting software SAGE Evolution.
5. Strong Excel skills for data analysis.
6. Attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
